Hotel metrics such as arrivals, room nights and bed nights matter to you, either because you have to provide those numbers to the government, or simply because you want to get an idea on the reason why your guests are traveling or where do they come from.
Apaleo uses the nationality and the country of residence from the guest data for the guest statistics (tab Reservations > Guests > Edit).
Apaleo offers you access to this data, and lets you export it. How to get there?

Viewing Reports
For calculating the number of total arriving guests by nationality and country of residence, Apaleo calculates all guests who are linked to all reservations arriving for that specified month.
When calculating the number of occupied rooms by nationality and country of residence, Apaleo takes into consideration the nationality and residence of the primary guest only.
The calculation of the Guest Statistics is based on the following selection in the Guest details screen:
- Nationalities
- Countries of residence
NOTE
There is no fallback logic in the Nationalities section: If a Nationality in the Identification section was not entered, the system will not take the Country selected in the Address section.
Statistic Details
By clicking the arrows on the right, the system will open a side panel:
The side panel is always open for a specific Country or Undefined values and displays here a list of guests included with the following sections:
- Arriving Guests
- Rooms
- Beds
Arriving Guest
The results displayed in the report is the Guest Type. Should a reservation contain more than one guest, but only the details of the Primary Guest are entered, the Guest Type as Additional Guest or Child Guest and ‘Name not defined’ will be displayed:
Rooms
Beds
An exception exists only for the Travel Purpose – in Arriving Guests just the reservations are displayed, as different travel purposes for different guests within the same reservation cannot be defined.
Once a reservation in the side panel is selected, the system will automatically transfer you to the Reservation screen – Guests tab.
This is a quick and efficient way to fill the missing details of the undefined Nationality, Country of Residence or Travel Purpose.
Export Reports
Exports to .csv and/or .xlsx file are possible for:
- All values: Nationalities, Countries of Residence, Travel purpose
- Export per Country or Undefined through the side panel:
