Promotion Codes
Promotion Codes can be added or removed from a rate plan at any time, either while setting up a new rate plan or later on.
Just like regular rate plans, promotions are tied to specific booking periods. They are only available during open-for-sale dates and can only be accessed with the promo code.
This allows you to create targeted offers for certain times of the year, for example offering a Christmas special available throughout December and January.
In this example, Hotel Munich has added its X-Mas Promotion as a sub-rate under the Non Refundable section. It’s highlighted with a small sticker icon next to the booking channels on the right side of the screen.
Adding a Promotion Code
Select a rate plan in the Rates section where you wish to add the Promo code.
Insert the Promo Code you wish to install and click the '+ Add promo code' button. Once the code has been added, it will appear underneath the typing box. Multiple Promo Codes can be added to one promotion Rate Plan simultaneously.
Hotel Munich added the promotion codes 'XMAS' and 'NY2025' to this rate plan. By setting different Promo codes, the hotel can identify which code triggered more bookings for the same rate.
Reservation Process
It’s important to note that a rate plan with a promotion code is only accessible using that exact code, similar to how a corporate rate works.
For example, when creating a new booking and entering the promo code “XMAS”, the corresponding promotional rate plan will appear.
This rate is only visible when the promotion code has been entered.
After the booking period has expired, the same rate plan can be used for a new promotion with the same or different promotion codes.

Can I add a promotion code to an existing rate plan?

Are promotion codes visible to all guests?
No. Rate plans with promotion codes are only visible to guests who enter the correct code, similar to corporate or private rates.
Can I limit when a promotion is available?
Yes. Promotions can be linked to specific booking and stay periods, so you can control exactly when they’re open for sale, for example a “Christmas Special” can be made available only in December.
Can I run multiple promotions at the same time?
Yes. You can have multiple promotions active simultaneously, as long as each has its own unique promo code and rate setup.
What happens if the promo code is entered incorrectly?
If the code doesn’t match an active promotion, the special rate won’t appear and only the available rate plans will be shown.
