Each property has its own life cycle. First, when the property gets created, it has Test status.
Test properties are a good way to try things out and learn by doing. Also this is the initial status before your switch property to Live.
Test properties have the following limits:
- No real credit cards processing. Only test credit cards are available
- Limit on number of reservations
- Limit on number of charges/payments in a single folio
Once you are done with the setup and you are ready to go live, navigate to Settings -> Property and switch the property to Live status.
Live properties do not have any limits and make features like, charging real credit cards, available at your disposal.
When for some reason you are not manage the property anymore, you can easily archive it. This will remove the property from your bills and make it read-only. Meaning you still can access the property and read data but no create/modify/delete actions will be allowed.
Archived properties have the following limits:
- Only read-only operations are allowed
Note: Anyone with Account Admin permissions can manage property life cycle.
