Welcome to the setup guide for the Apaleo for Sheets Add-on! This guide will walk you through the installation and configuration process, ensuring you can seamlessly integrate Apaleo with Google Sheets to generate your reports.
Section 1: Installation
1.1. Access the Google Workspace Marketplace:
- Open Google Sheets.
- Create a new blank spreadsheet.
- Click on "Extensions" in the top menu.
- Select "Add-ons" -> "Get add-ons."
- Search for "Apaleo for Sheets" in the search bar.
- Click on the add-on, then click on the "Install" button next to the add-on.
1.2. Grant Permissions:
- After installation, you'll be prompted to grant permissions to the add-on.
- Click "Continue" and follow the on-screen instructions to authorize Apaleo for Sheets to access your Google Sheets data.

2.1. Accessing the Add-on:
- With the add-on installed, you can access it by clicking on "Extensions" in the top menu.
- Select "apaleo for Sheets" and then choose any report that you want to generate.
2.2. Sign In to Apaleo:
- When choosing any report, If you haven't already signed in, you will be prompted to do so in the righthand menu. Use your Apaleo credentials to log in.

3.1. Open Receivables & Liabilities:
A report for accounting/financial controllers displaying open receivables and liabilities per reservation. Receivables are gross, as well as liabilities but shown per VAT type (normal, reduced, no VAT).

3.2. City Tax Report:
There are two report options:
1. the Berlin report can be used if you need the City taxes excl. VAT, City Tax incl VAT and based on that the Net accommodation revenue for city tax reservations in the chosen timeframe.
2. the Hamburg report can be used, if your city tax has step defined city tax amounts, based on the accomodation rate per night. This report will show you the city taxes booked per each defined step (based on the current set up for Hamburg)
