When you receive a terminal from Apaleo, please inform us immediately by way of a support ticket, so we can configure the terminals in Apaleo. You can then board the terminal, following the specific instructions for your terminal model:
- Board your Android S1F2
- Board your Verifone V400m
- Board your Verifone V400cPlus
- Board your Verifone UX300

Android S1F2
- Insert the receipt roll (Pull up the latch on the paper roll cover and open the cover. Place the paper roll and close the cover, making sure the paper sticks out a bit.)
- After selecting your language on the Welcome screen, select the arrow button ➡️
- On the Setup Wi-Fi screen, select the + sign.
- Turn on the WLAN toggle switch.
- Select a Wi-Fi network from the list, or select the + sign and add the name (SSID) of the Wi-Fi network.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Select OK (press the dot at the lower end of your screen)
The terminal sets the network as default automatically, and connects to it.
You'll now see a Wi-Fi icon at the top of the display. - Confirm your store
- Insert the receipt roll
The screen will turn off when the terminal is not used. You can active the screen by pressing the power button on the left side briefly. When you select the terminal in Apaleo for payments it is not necessary to press any buttons.
Verifone V400m
- Insert the receipt roll (Pull up the latch on the paper roll cover and open the cover. Place the paper roll and close the cover, making sure the paper sticks out a bit.)
- Turn on the terminal by connecting it to a power source. During startup the display turns on and off a few times. Let the battery charge for at least four hours while you continue with the next steps.
- From the terminal press Configure network
- Enable the WiFi
- Press Add network and enter the hotel's wifi name and password
- Select the check mark to confirm. You'll now see a Wi-Fi icon at the top of the display.ATTENTION: Sometimes hotel wifis require a manual registration via a website. Payment terminals cannot do that. In this case contact the network administrator. S/he can help you by registering the MAC address of the terminal in the network so that no manual step is required to connect for the terminal.
- Select Board the terminal, select your store, and select Confirm. Boarding can take up to 30 minutes.
Verifone V400cPlus
- Insert the receipt roll (Pull up the latch on the paper roll cover and open the cover. Place the paper roll and close the cover, making sure the paper sticks out a bit.)
- Open the cover on the back of the terminal, connect the dongle cable, and close the cover.
- Turn on the terminal by connecting it to a power source. During startup the display turns on and off a few times.
- Connect the terminal to the internet. You can either connect to Ethernet LAN or WiFi.

- On the terminal display, select Configure network.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Turn on the Wi-Fi toggle switch.
- Select the + icon to add a network. The terminal scans for Wi-Fi networks.
- Choose the desired network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password, or select Add manually and enter the name (SSID) of the Wi-Fi network and the Wi-Fi password.

5. Press Board the terminal, select your store, and select Confirm. Boarding can take up to 30 minutes
Verifone UX300
1. Mount the device as per the installation instructions from the manufacturer of your self-service machine.

3. Reset the Anti-Removal Switches: https://docs.adyen.com/point-of-sale/user-manuals/ux300-user-manual#reset-ars The terminal should now show the logo, and then "Terminal is not boarded".
4. When the display shows Board the terminal, on the UX100 PIN pad press OK.
5. When the display shows the store that the terminal is assigned to, press OK to confirm.
6. Update the terminal software.
- On the UX100 PIN pad, press 9 and then press OK.
- Enter the PIN code for the Admin menu and press OK. (If you do not know the PIN code, check with Apaleo).
- Select 2 Software and press OK.
- Press OK to confirm you want to Update the software.
When the terminal finishes downloading and installing the software, it reboots. After that, you're ready to accept payments.
